Angry Gears go in hard when driving fast..why?

under normal driving the gears go in like butter....real nice and smooth.
but when racing or driving hard(shifting at redline) they are real hard to go in.

However, I am not getting any grating or noises etc. It just refuses to go in unless you let the RPM drop a little and then put it in...and get back on the gas.

What could cause this...Is it a gearbox problem? Or could it be my pressure plate(cause I installed a different one recently) and it's only after that I got the problem.

Thanks

bad sychro's, any mitsu dealer should be able to repair this under warranty, there are two tsb's on the sychro's.

I had the same problem when my RRE was installed and I took it the CODY, he adjusted the clutch pedal out. Some screw or something under the clutch pedal. Works fine now

I was having a ton of problems getting into gear as well and found that my clutch pedal was too low and not letting the clutch fully disengage. I found this out sitting on the track and revving up to 5000 rpms with my clutch pedal in. My car starting moving forward to my surprise. I adjusted out the pedal quite a ways and no more grinding issues.

Sounds like you have the same problem! Its pretty easy to adjust the pedal. You will need a 12mm wrench. Look behind you clutch pedal and you will see the bolt that drives into the firewall when you push the pedal in. On that bolt on the side of the firewall there is a 12mm nut you need to loosen. Once you loosen that nut you can spin that bolt. Spin it counterclock wise to raise the pedal and opposite to tighten it. In your case you need to raise the pedal a bit. Dont do a lot of turns though! I read that you can drive the bolt through the master cylinder if you put too many turns on it so just do 1 turn and try it out. I had to move mine a few times to get it so it wasnt moving all the way up to 7000rpms. Once you have it adjusted tighten the 12mm nut back down and you are done.

Hope this helps you as much as it helped me!

I have had the same problems. I have changed my trany fluid and my clutch. I grind when on the gas hard. I lurch when I rev with the clutch in too. I will have to try to adjust it out some.
