Cost of replacing tires?
I am reading that the EVO 8 tires are not going to be known for longevity. Any estimates on how much a set of 4 factory replacements will cost?

www.tirerack.com ... eventually
A046Rs aren't readily available in the US (yet) so good luck finding them. A comparable replacement is the Bridgestone Potenza S03PP, which runs about $170/tire in the Evo's size. So, about $700/set shipped to your preferred installer, plus about $50 for M&B.
From you dealer, expect to pay considerably more.

I'm betting that in a couple of years, the shoe-string budget I-make-20k/yr-and-can-buy-an-Evo will stand out in the crowd. They will be the ones driving Evos with Cooper retreads.
Here's a thought... If the tires last around 10k miles and you drive that much in a year, that's about .08 per mile for tires assuming $800 for a set. If you pay $1.80 for 93 octane gas for 10k miles at about 25 mpg (*cough*), that's .07 cents per mile for gas. Hmmmm.....
