I have $1000 to spend on my 2003 dead Stock Evo VIII. I love cars but I dont know much about what aftermarket parts do for my car. I was wondering if anyone had an Idea of the best way to spend that $1000 to boost my performance.

ECU reflash + cat back + manual boost controler

What does TBE stand for and what is it, same for the flash, what is it.

 

take the cat back out and use the TBE. Down pipe does wonders in turbo cars.

so

Downpipe-($150)
test pipe ($150)
Cat back ($400)

$700 or so if you search and get bargain (even megan racing tbe - $600)

ECU reflash - anywhere around $300 to $400.

I would actually get the Downpipe and test pipe before the catback.

really, catback does very little. What really opens up the turbo is the downpipe and getting rid of the catalytic converter.

that's $300 or so for both of those without the cat back.

then $100 for the hallman MBC

you still have $600 to play with.

with that $600, you could get a flash (-$350 or so leaving you $250) then with the left over money, you could get an air intake or get some suspension components.

 

Turbo Back Exhaust, ECU flash (reprograming/tuneing of the ECU)

this is what you should do if you want to get the most power for your money.............. TBE 750$ + MBC 99$ + Mail in flash (199$ + shipping) = 1050$ and about 40-50whp
