Weird Noise after Installing Intercooler Piping

I bought those intercooler pipings offered by Logic Performance and EvoMoto.

After installation, i didnt tighten up a hose and while driving, it popped and black smoke started to come out of my exhaust and stalled out. I started the car and finally made it home half pushing the car. I dont think I have done any damage right? I mean, the car runs and drives fine.

Now, I installed these pipes CORRECTLY and when i floor my car, it made a weird "ooooooooooo" sound in the higher rpms. Is something wrong or is it like that? It sounded like it came from the lower passenger side. Is one of the clamps to the turbo no tight enuf?

I tend to overlook things a lot, so my advice would be to just make sure everything is clamped down and connected properly. BOV installed correctly? Lower passenger side noise sounds like it might just be a small leak at the compressor outlet. Just double check again and again. Same thing happened to me when forgetting to clamp the manifold/Bov vac line and it blew off.

Those factory clamps....if that is what you are using.........just aren't the greatest sometimes. I would recheck your connections and maybe invest in some T-bolt clamps.

had this happen to me TWICE in 2 weeks. i went to Napa & got some CT (constant torque) clamps. twice as thick & more beefy than stock. the only thing bad is they were $4.77 each & i needed 8...

i got the t-clamps already. I guess I need to tighten that sucker down at the turbo area. I'll tighten it tomorrow and see what happens. I first have to invest in a battery first tho

Lower piping or upper piping... swap out the clamps for clamps from another part of the piping... if its the upper pipe to the turbo.. then one of the bolts isnt tightened all the way and you have a boost vac leak since its before the turbo... or if you got new upp then its the bov... stock one is only good for 19psi spikes because its plastic.. get a 1g for like 50$ there good for 25psi

i already have an MR BOV. I bought both Upper and Lower intercooler piping. I just remembered I THINK i might not have tightened all the way the bottom hose.
