Good read! Do cams need a "break in" period after install prior to dyno tuning?

I have a question, Ive tried searching answers but got nothing.

Why cant ix mivec cams be installed into an viii? Is there any significant difference that makes it impossible to install them into an viii?

I think as soon as journal caps are removed the pressure inside deflates requiring being pumped back up with fluid again. Futhermore you get to clean out all the build up (just follow FSM).

Or you can just buy some better quality "no-tick lifters" that already come serviced with mineral oil and use a heftier internal spring. That's what I did the 3rd time around with removing the cams. Ready to go outta the box, I think GSC might have some.
