Question megan cat back?

hey im lookin to get some exhaust for the evo and i came across a pretty good deal. megan cat back with a burnt tip this pipe looks real nice and the website makes it seem pretty legit (www.meganracing.com) so if any of you have megan exhaust or know anything about it (hp and tourqe gain) your feedback is apprecitated. i am also wounderin if cat back is a waist of time with my evo or if i should just get turbo back. Thanx guys let me kno

The Megan catback is superb quality, absolute best for the price. Sound is great. You will get very minmal, if any gain in hp or torque from a catback exhaust. The real hp and torque gain comes from the downpipe and straight pipe. That being said, I would recommend a turbo back exhaust system.

Im curious about this as well. I saw the deal on it in the GB forum and someone said it was one of the quieter exhausts, but some people have a different opinion of "quiet".

Not according to Dave Buschur himself who got 15-20whp with just an axle-back.

I have a full 3" turbo back with high flow cat and Authority cat back. It looks very similar to the megan cat back so I would assume it would sound about the same. Mine is quite loud. It sounds good but in areas where cops like to stop cars for exhaust I think it might be a problem.

Mine was the quietest at the last dyno day I attended... many of the "usual" contenders were there. Yes it is absolutely louder than stock, however out of WOT it is not as loud as many... a nice "deep sound".
