Exhaust extend + Flange question

Ok, I ordered a an exhaust made for the JDM Evo8. Two issues arise:

1) The exhaust was made for the JDM Bumper, which means it will come up 3-4" short.

2) The exhaust piping is 80mm and my DP/TP will be 76mm

Has anyone run into a similar issue to this? Can a shop just create a flange to extend the length of the exhaust and increase the piping from 76mm to 80mm? Has anyone done this? What was the cost, roughly?

I have heard of several people who have had a flange set up to extend the exhaust with good results and minimal expense. I myself have the Greddy ti and had the same problem...went the other way and just got the JDM bumper!

I know it's a SUPER late reply, but....

I've been toying with buying 2 flanges and getting them welded together to extend slightly out the back. Granted my exhaust I only want to extend an inch or two, but it's the same concept. What you could always do is buy a test pipe and cut it to size and reweld.

I used to be a mechanic at Midas...what i used to do is just "swedge" and adapter pipe to match the flanges .....as for the tailpipe issue, add 3-4" to the exhaust pipe (on the straight piece) to extend it. It may show some welds on the exhaust, but if you want performance, as opposed to a trailered show car, you will be fine. A shop might charge between $30-$50 for the job...
