Can i use this turbo?

http://www.diamondstarmotorsport.com/turboparts.shtml

I am exploring the Bolt on T3T4 hybrid Turbochargers, 50 trim compressor & 76 trim T31 turbine.

From the description stated, i would assume it is a plug & play turbo for the evo 8? IF not, Please advise....

Any good reviews on this turbo?

What exactly is a plug and play turbo? And no, that doesn't look like it will fit an EVO8. I believe thay are saying it will bolt up to a Evo 1-3 manifold. It's basically a DSM turbo.

If it bolts up to a 1 or 2 G DSM, it won't work for us.

you can't really expect to just bolt on a big turbo to your car and still have it running safely (if at all). I would recommend checking out what some of the current kits come with (e.g. AMS, Buschur) ... things like bigger fuel pump, injectors, fuel management, etc. Also, a T3T4 hybrid will probably have a lot of lag on a stock Evo engine.

It means that windows will recognise it without a driver disk and special installation software. This have become a standard practice on most computer periferials since windows 2000 was released. It is nice to see that some of this logic is making it into the auto undustry. LMAO.

I think he meas you can sway the 16G with this turbo and maybe oil/cooling lines and you should be GTG. The parameters in the factory ECU should be able to handle the readings that it will get from the new tubo outputs. ..

I disagree or agree and advise against. I disagree that the ECU can handle a turbo upgrade without tuning. the MAS is before the turbo and would have trouble knowing that the new turbo can handle more than the stocker. Or I advise against because of two reasons. One those are old T3 T4 designs that are ineffectient by todays standards. Your 16G would be a better match to the engine. Second if there was a true plug and play turbo that would mean the the performance gains would be minimal to keep the engine running without tuning or A/F adjustments.
