i just got in the greddy profect e-01 and e-manage. these things are BAD ***!!! i highly recomend them. the emanage says it can controll aftermarket injectors up to "150% larger than factory" injectors. does this mean the 560 cc present in the evo 8 can be upgraded to 1395 cc'c, or is it 840cc's?
anyways, this combo also controlls ignition timing and secondary injectors. many other things also, but it data logs also, which is a great thing.

In fact, maybe take some time to get to know the car so you can get the best times out of it stock as possible!!!
I know with a competent AWD driver, the car is a low to mid 13 second car (depending on driver/conditions like elevation and track, weather).
EDIT: I see that you own a TT, so I have faith in your abilities to bust some good times out of the EVO stock!

He's gotten some impressive times with that Stealth too. I can only assume you haven't had a chance to hook up the e-manage or e01. When you do, please let us/me know how the interface is? I've been reading and hearing a lot about it and I'm curious to get a normal but educated tuner's opinion.
Can't wait to see your Evolution when you get it. I have a feeling you're going to be one of the faster cats out there from these forums. Best of luck to ya!

I think everyone is over estimating what the stock EVO can perform on the track. Low to mid 13s are extremely fast for a street car. I think a more realistic figure would be low 14s stock. Maybe it's because I do all my drag racing in the Vegas desert, but getting a car into the 13s required some serious *****. 271 HP probably will not get it done. More power to anyone who can do it.
What did Motor Trend publish that the EVO ran in the quarter? I always tack on an additional .30 seconds on their time because they used a professional driver at sea level, and best time out of around 20 runs.

I'm not trying to be rude in anyway, but maybe where you are at, that is true... here in Texas, low to mid 13s means you probably just did some minor mods to whatever car you have or it is stock (not including rice!) .Examples of stock car and 1/4 times:
LS1s = mid to high 13
Mustang GT= high 13 low 14
DSM BPU= mid to high 13
Supra = mid to high 13
Mach 1= (tuner mags say low 13)
Cobra= in the 12s

This was discussed AT LENGTH in the thread about R&Ts test figures.
I would sure hope it runs better than low 14s stock. I run at a notoriously slow track (bristol, TN) where most stock LS1s run mid-high 14s and I pulled a 14.0 @ 96.3 in my stock WRX sedan. That is with 227hp and maybe 150lbs. less weight. The additional hp and torque should more than make up for the small weight difference.
