Buscher 3" TBE sound question...

I just purchased the 3" turbo back from Buscher. I opted for the Magnaflow muffler option and the offroad pipe. I am now concerned about the overall noise level in the cab because of the cat delete? Can anybody set me straight? How much loader will it be over stock? Thanks-

the magnaflow muffler will definetely be quiter than the buschur race muffler but the test pipe will make it a lot louder. it will probably be close to the race muffler and hi flow cat (like i have). definetely much louder than stock.

I've got that exact setup and I love the way it sounds, not too loud at all. It sounds perfect at WOT, you won't be disappointed.

Sleet,

So at highway speeds cruising you don't think it's too loud? I really don't like the "drone" sound inside the cab......what do you think? Thanks-

It is still loud, you can't tell while driving UNESS you go WOT, but people always know when I am comming. It has that ambient noize like a Mustang, not loud but it drones, you know? I start my car in the morning and then get ready, I can hear it in teh shower, not loud, just penetrates.

Has anyone tried soundproofing just a bit?

I've been thinking about adding carpet padding in the trunk and seeing if it made much difference... *Shrug*

i had the same setup, i thought it was quiet but the cops didnt, got pulled over about 10 times within i think 2 or 3 weeks and got 3 tickets for noise, bastard ny cops, i now have works 3" tbe with self modified stock muffler (a lot more modified then the works stealth, took about 6 hours with a profesional welder) was able to get same hp on dyno, with almost stock noise levels.

anyway i still liked how the buschur sounded more than my current system.
