majority will tell you to do alcohol injection instead but if you want NOS then I wouldn't do more than a 75 shot. I know for N/A cars the equation is stock hp/2 = #of shot. Make sure you run colder plugs and install a fuel pump too

Ask big Al(dynoflash), Turbotrix and others that have experience with the stuff. I think that they will tell u that u have to pay to play with NOS.

I say go with the 50 shot wet kit of course and a Walbro fuel pump. The EVO motor can handle that setup with no modifications needed. I've been spraying for almost a year now and no problems whatsoever. Its alot of fun and highly addictive. Just don't over do it.
BTW, I highly recommend a bottle heater, makes all the difference.

I've heard so many people say you shouldn't do it, I have yet to hear why though. If you run an alky kit wouldn't it make it safer to run nitrous? ( I could be totaly wrong about that, someone who knows please chime in!)

Any number of things can go wrong with NOS, so just be careful. I personally wouldn't run a dry shot. A wet shot or direct port is the way to go. I would start off with a 35 shot and go from there. I would not exceed a 75 shot unless you have money set aside for parts or problems that might occur.

It's not as simple as just slapping a kit on and going. You need to make sure everything is tuned and working properly. Puddling can cause some serious damage along with other conditions. Have it installed and tuned professionally. Good luck.

You will surely need a clutch that can hold that kind of torque but if you are more into drag racing than road racing nitrous is the hot ticket.

People say use alchohol because its fairly cheap and you can use it for whatever type of driving you do.

Nitrous is sort of a pain. It takes awhile for the bottle to heat. You always have the urge to open the bottle and if you dont that will be the time you get pimped. Its getting more and more expensive to fill and find filling stations in my area. If something does fail like a fuel soliniod bad things happen very quickly. It works better than anything else but its risky as well.

I plan on running n2o in my car in the near future but I haven't finished my research and made a final decision. I am looking to run a 75shot but I will also be running a n2o specific map on the AEM EMS and only on 100octane. As long as yo take your time and make sure the setup runs properly it should be safe. Here is a link to a thread on a car running nitrous. He is very helpful.

Dont waste your money on nitrous. Spend the money on mild bolt-ons which will give you way more than a 50 shot will, plus you dont have to worry about spending 3-4k on a new engine. Think about it. If anything look into alcohol injection.

don't let that happen...

I would only use nitrous to cool the Intercooler. I don't feel it necessary on a boosted car, unless you have a really huge turbo and need to help it spool.

Please, guys, call it nitrous oxide or N2O. "NOS" is a brand name, not a chemical. Would you say "I'm going to put some new Recaros in the car" and then go out and buy Sparco seats instead? The same logic applies.

N2O on a turbo car can be safe, if it is done right. However, there are so many other ways to get the power desired for a way cheaper price tag. I know a $400 "bolt on" kit looks really appealing, but then you have to fill the bottle, and then fill it again, and again, and again. It's just so much cheaper to do bolt ons that will net you the same level of power, especially if you are starting from stock.

evosorio - I lived in Puerto Rico for almost 5 years. Lots of good times. I had an Eclipse GSX down there that I used to run at the track all the time. I never used N2O on it. I never came across a car on the street that could touch it, either. It was a lot of fun building that car and driving the **** out of it, and I could do it all night long, without having to worry about the bottle running out.
