You know the front lower motor mount? Well I need to know if there is a sleeve through that mount, because the rubber mount is larger than the bolt, thus there'd be slack.

It is a guess but i am assuming the reason for the space is this: Almost all factory motor mounts are designed to wiggle a decent amount anyways, make the motor seem to run smoother, make shifts feel smoother and cause less stress on all the motor mounts combined. I would assume thier main reasoning was for a comfort mod... like the balance shafts; they arent needed but make it run "smoother". I would see no problem in making them stiffer but I would recommend trying to deduce where you would like the motor to sit more firmly. It may not matter but I would think you would want the least amount of an angle for the ring/pinion gear in the T-Case... I really dont know though.

By least amount of angle for the ring/pinion I'm assuming you're talking about the angle of the propeller shaft exiting the rear of the TC? In which case, yes, minimizing that angle will reduce wear and load on the universal joint.
