1G BOV vs Forge BOV?? Opinions Needed

I am looking for anyone who has used both. I am thinking about upgrading to the forge bov becasue they make one that will bolt directly to my Buschur piping. I love the driveability of the 1G, but am thinking of upgrading. I have tried alot of the other Bovs and haven't liked any of them besides the 1G. Please let me know any of your opinions in this.

I personally reccomend the Forge over the 1g. I have lots of friends with the 1g (be it on 1g dsm's or evos) It will hold well up to about 22 - 23 psi. However should you decide on Alky and want to run more (or a bigger turbo) I would go ahead and upgrade to the forge. Plus its a very blingy piece. Be ricey

I changed from 1G to Forge. There are some aspects of the Forge that I need to drive around a bit (like not lifting slightly in higher gears when you are on boost -- you need to either stay on it or lift off enough to cause the valve to vent, otherwise you get surging)l, but there's no doubt when it's open and closed like with the 1G where it seemed to vent just a little too easy. Forge seems to be very well made. It's also much louder. I'd recommend it, but expect to lose some drivability, at least with the stiffer springs (I'm using the 2nd to stiffest spring).

If you are running stock boost, I would stay with the 1G. I use to have the 1G and now have the Forge. I believe the Forge will hold boost better, but does lose driveability.

I run around 20-21, but turn it up quite a bit when using race gas. I definately don't want driveability issues. I hated how the HKS unit was. Driveability was crap.

I recirculate. Its the same BOV, you just don't hook up the return piping back into the MAF pipe.

Just run a crushed 1g and don't look back. Mine holds boost fine to 30 psi(yeah, I have run it over 30 psi with ems logs) and I run the car mostly at 25-26 psi with no issues. It just works. You shouldn't have to "drive around" your bov issues- 1g works. Crushed 1g works and holds higher boost too.

A lot of opinions on the 1g. I have a crushed 1g and the driveability is good but the car seems to pull harder with the turbo xs rfl bov vs the 1g. Big difference so I left the turbo xs in. Not sure what could be going on. I tried running both and switching between the two but that couldn't be done.

This may help. There was something better but couldn't find it.
