I have the answer for ya buddy str8 from exedy themselves. okay...I have a hyper carbon single same as your setup except with a carbon disk and only one but anyway. That noise your hearing is "actually" your clutch disk hub. the metal piece in between the clutch disk that holds it together. those are harmonic vibrations emminating from the tranny amplified by your clutch because they do not have the same springs as OE to dampen those noises. Now dont be scared because those noises are already there and always have been. They are only "amplified by the new clutch" only because they do not have the springs to dampen them. the reason exedy took those springs off was weight savings. Now if you wanted to spend the extra money you could have gotten the D-series . the new series that sounds exactly like stock(silent) but is by far the best engagement and smoothest shifting clutch probably in all the aftermarket for the same price. and yes they are twin "carbon" disks which are pretty much bomb proof all the way up to 600whp then they start wearing faster. I have the single carbon stage 3 and mannnn.......its the shizzle. I have 300whp on pump and it drives amazing when warmed up, it doesn't let up. but I still have that decceleration noise which yes is "normal".

So your TC went bad and there was no metal in the oil? What sort of test was performed? Was the level checked to ensure there was sufficient oil in the case?

I'm just curious because I've heard several of these "my TC went after I did my clutch" stories. I'm trying to figure out what is causing the damage. Is it the wrong type of oil being used? Improper oil levels? Or just general abuse?

FWIW, I just swapped out my front diff with a Quaife LSD after having run Redline lube for 15,000+ miles. I had little to no discernable wear on the ring & pinion, nor on the spider gears. Then again my clutch had plenty of life left in it after 19,000 miles.
