GT3040 turbo
GT3040 turbo
anyone with a gt 3040 turbo? am considering the atp 3040. would like to know at wat rpm it can hit full boost and its hp rating. would it go well with a 2.3 stroker and wat size injectors to use? hope you guys can help? or any other recommendations for urbo to go with a 2.3 stroker??thx
I would say any GT30 combo or GT35r is going to be pretty mean on a 2.3 motor with the correct supporting parts. You might be able to narrow down the best choice if you posted what you wanted to use the car for such as Autocross, Street/Strip or just mostly Strip.
At least 1000cc injectors probably 3200-3600 rpm full boost depending on the setup. Standalone is a must at this point. Answers to have it done would be who is close to you. Buschur, AMS, RNR.

be using it for street/strip. any ideas on the hp the 3040 supports? currently running the atp 3071 with magnus intake manifoldfull boost comes in opnli by 4200rpm. would the 2.3 stroker help? would i hit full boost earlier and would the turbo run out of breath earlier? would higher compression be able to compensate so that after the turbo runs out of breth the na power can come in? or should i go for the atp 3540? anyone with 2.3 but small turbo like the 3071 and wat r the results?? thx

This has been covered atleast a couple hundred times. The GT30 is capable of 500+whp with supporting mods and the GT35R is capable of 600+whp with supporting mods. The injectors depend on how much you want out of your set-up. If your just looking for 500whp than I think 880's would be ok.

Use your own advice and go do a search for 3040. Not too many Evo 8's in the states are using them. Al Friedman is one, but he switched a long time ago. Ive been talking to some Aussies about the 3040, and they say that it'll spool quicker than a GT35R and be quite the package for the streets. ATPturbo has one thats 1/4 the price of an HKS. Isn't the FP3065 basically a 3040?
