question on tial wastegate??

question on tial wastegate??
I know the nipple on the side of the wastegate goes to the boost controller, what goes to the nipple on top of the wastegate??

On my Tial on my turbo Miata it was just a vent to atmosphere. I think there are ways of using that nipple to help keep the wastegate shut when using an electric boost controller, but I have never done that.

pedalpusher is correct, some electronic boost control setups use both ports, but most leave it vented to atmospere.
