or both? I've always thought that they move my "powerband" up and down slitly as i advance or retard them. I have FIdanza's w/ a HKS 264/272 combo. Right now theyre set at 0,0. What would changing them do?

They will move the powerband up and down. Also, by separating them, you can smooth the idle some.

YOu can retard timing on the gears and run more boost. I can't recall the setting off hand; -4,-1 (anyone)?

The move the powerband around and also broaden or narrow it depending on the settings. Dearch for posts by a user named "Ted B" he has a lot of Cam knowledge and has done testing on various cam gear settings. He knows his stuff.
