What were you doing in the #2 runner?

 

I've read that #1 and #2 runners are the hottest and #2 was easier to get to.

 

hmm....very scary...i have a greddy EGT in runner 1...why would it just snap off...shouldnt it be strong to withstand the heat?

 

I guess it couldn't withstand the heat so it got out of the... uh... kitchen... I'm so sad, I'm going to need a new turbo.

 

yeah i'd contact the manufacturer and see what they say. These things should not be breaking and this isn't the first time i've heard of this.

 

They just break. It has been happening for years. If you don't want to put the tip of an EGT probe through your turbine, don't run an EGT probe in front of your turbine. That is the only way to absolutely guarantee that it won't happen.

 

I'm getting a beefier one from TRE, hopfuly that one will last longer...
