Ask David Buschur from buschur racing about this. He's done testing on porting the stocker.

Gasket matched the Turbine housing to the gasket aswell as the manifold and the 02 housing.

I did minor porting on my exhaust components during my 10.5 hotside install.

I gasket matched the manifold to turbine housing junction. The turbine housing inlet required very little material removal. The manifold outlet required a little more material removal. Overall, it was still very minor.

I also gasket matched the turbine housing to o2 housing junction. I spent the most time porting the turbine housing outlet. The 10.5 hotside outlet's opening was slightly smaller than the stock 9.8 hotside.

This picture shows the area marked for material removal:

Here's how it looked after the porting. Not a very good pic.

The o2 housing required very little material to match the gasket.

Overall, I don't think the porting made much difference as the stock pieces are pretty well made to begin with. But if you have everything apart, you might as well clean things up a bit.

I used a die grinder to do the material removal and used a dremel to sand the ported surfaces smooth after.

yeah that's what i meant. the other surfaces inside obviously still have casting sandyness, not that there's dire need for it... but that's what br has done to his and that's what the white rabbit has done to it.
