Trying to build a DIY alky kit running either toluene or methanol. Will this shurflo pump be up to the task?

toluene = NO!
100% methanol = it really depends as there are several grades of viton......best bet is call shurflo and get it from the horses mouth

 

in the mean time too...if you dont have an engine mamagement(EMS, utec......)get one

 

Thinking of 50% water to 50% toluene/methanol actually. To be controlled by my Autronic.

 

hmmmmm............toluene+methanol......thats a great idea getting the toluene to mix with water!

I dont remember where i read from, Ferrari used to use Gasoline+Acetone+H2O mixture

 

My mistake, I meant 50% methanol and 50% water.

 

50/50 water to methy alcohol will be ok for the shurflo pump

that toluene/meoh/water sounds really workable........anyone has a suggestion on what kind of pump will pump this mixture?

fuel pump = not good for water
shurflo pump = not good for toluene.........
