Borla header Gains!!

I had a dyno run with and without a borla header. If someone could tell me how to post a dyno sheet , I imagine it will involve my scanner.
The Borla header wasn't the only thing I added though, but the other thing I think people will be interested in as well.

Here are the dynojet #'s before the Header
293.83 whp @ 6,000 rpm
280.90 wtq @ 3,300 rpm

Then I added a borla header and Buscher FMIC-thats it!!(look at the torque)
312.37 whp @ 5300 rpm
319.85 wtq @ 4,000 rpm
I can't say it's all the header, but more the header than the intercooler...the intercooler also made the boost come on alittle later but helped with the #'s
Now I have a laundry list of other mods, but the only difference between the two runs was a little time and the above mentioned mods.

If someone lets me know how I would be glad to post!

WOW, very impressive numbers!!. I really wish you did the dyno sesion separately so that you could see the gains independently.

The dyno session was seperate...when I said a little time in between I meant a couple of months.

When you did it a couple of months ago, was it 90+ degrees like it is now? You may have gained even more power if it was cool during the first dyno and super-hot during this one. Or the opposite if this one was cool somehow...

The 1st test was done in the winter...60-70's temp and the 2nd one with the intercooler and header was done in the spring 70-80's temp. Also the 2nd dyno was done many times w/o the dyno reading my tach. When we finally got it dialed in it had been like 10 passes. The only thing I did was tune w/ the safc II to get the dyno #'s

I bought the header from vivid racing. $527.00

Very interesting post, I been always interested in the Borla Headers, I have a Borla Exhaust which I am very pleased with. The gains look really good, would love to see the Dyno Sheets before and after.

yah i also think it is the front mount because headers on a stock turbo car usually had no effect

unfortunately without back to back dynos on the same day (or same weather conditions), and independant tests of the manifold vs the front mount, there is no way anyone can say what the gains are attributable to

I will have to dis-agree, the header works! the only time the buscher fmic would kick in is when the stock is heat soaked. The fmic also creates a lag because of the addtl. size. If anyone could call the borla header a pos its me! the ceramic coating is flaking off, and the gasket blew between the turbo and the header. You know what I am going to do??? Put a new warranty header back on. Don't believe everything you hear, see, or read...I quess.

1st My car was far from stock when I bolted the two on. 2nd The fmic just helps with extreme boost, or extreme outside temperatures, or extreme load ex. climbing a steep grade. That is my impression

Robert from forced performance told me that my dyno sheets were the corrected #'s, so the test is valid. He could'nt believe the #'s either. However I did not just bolt the 2 pcs on w/o maximizing the safc to make max reliable #'s. w/o messing with the safc the #'s were
285 whp and 299 wtq
then I got with the super AFC II and brought those #'s up!
