want more power....options..

i have an 03 with cat back, intake, dynoflash, and mbc at 20.5, how much power do you think that is?
i want more power that i can feel, and push me into my seat! haha, im thinking a downpipe, cams, and a reflash. how much more power do you think that would give me?

My buddy put down around 330whp on 93 pump and over 360whp on race gas with those mods.

264 cams
3 inch turbo back exhaust
dynoflash custom tune
exedy twin plate
intake
buschur intercooler
upper/lower piping
mini battery
mbc @ 21 psi

He ran a 12.3 in the 1/4!

Since your in Texas go with the DP and testpipe ~30+ WHP you'll def. notice the difference.

Sorry but your not making no where near 330WHP on pump gas with those mods and 20.5 boost. My best guess on pump gas is 280-290WHP. As was mentioned before, a dp and testpipe would give you a significant gain in power, cams, and a custom tune for your new mods would easily put you in the realm of 330-340WHP on pump gas.

I think he meant to say "these" not "those"

I live in GA, lotsa big loud redneck trucks and no emissions testing. I thought this was also true in Texas. No offence meant.

i think what he means is that, you are on 91 octane, boosting on 91 octane is harder than on 93 like other places, you answered your own question

It's the same standard recipe everyone uses. Full exhaust, intake, cams, fuel pump, intercooler and a good tune.

You need a downpipe and a cat delete, add some cams and a fuel pump then get yourself retuned. That should net you what I think is "the standard" in modded Evo power.

After that you get into turbo's, bigger clutches, parts breaking and all the other stuff that goes with @$$ loads of power.

You should look into some 272 cams, dp, test pipe, and a good tune.

also, what kind of clutch should i be getting, im gonna be driving it everyday and race (at the track) maybe every 2-3 weeks.

You don't need an intercooler. A fuel pump is not required, but it is good cheap insurance. Cam gears are not needed, but they will free up some extra power and give you better drivability. It's best to get these at the same time as cams, because if you wait you'll be throwing away $200 in labor costs. While not required you should upgrade your headstuds and replace your timing and balance shaft belts too.

You could pay as little as $800 for HKS cams installed, or as much as $2000, if you decide to get high quality gears, belts, headstuds, and a fuel pump.
