Alky w/o AEM?

Who here is running alky without aem? Im getting cams, then after that im thinking of making my next nod alky. Would it be ok to run it on the safc until i get aem in the somewhat distant future?

IMO you might be better off with a flash.....just because you cant directly change timing with an AFC

Some people are doing it but that will not be maximizing the use of alky. I suggest you get a flash then tweak using safc.

When's the future? If it's going to be long then go for flash and enjoy it for now if not then wait for AEM

Hold off on the alky until you have all the supporting mods for it, that is, a proper EMS. If you plan on switching to AEM in the future, wait until then to get alky. And shouldn't you be in school? Tisk tisk!

If you're planning to stick with stock turbo I'd say no upgrade injector require. If you're upgrading turbo then go 680 or higher depending on the turbo.

Actually you use LESS fuel on Alky so you might be ok on the what you have. If you are going to run alky and no flash I would run the SAFC on MAP and not TPS. It is best to do a Flash for the alky though.

to reiterate what others have said, no you do not need larger injectors while running alchy. actually running alcohol is a way to prevent you from Having to buy larger injectors. You lessen the duty cycle of the injectors because you are adding additional fuel. so the stock injectors are more than enough on the stock turbo.

No injector upgrade required. Alcohol injection actually reduces injector duty, so the stock injectors are fine.

No standalone is required for alcohol injection, but you WILL need at least means of recalibrating the fuel curve and dyno tuning time if you want to get the most from what you spend on the alcohol injection kit.

Well then, I guess you don't need upgraded injectors. I forgot that alky uses less fuel. Oh well, I shall retract my previous statement.
