If you are trying to maintain the turbo healthy do this:
Try to keep your air filter clean,
Use Synthetic oil
Get yourself a turbo timer or wait at least 30sec before shutting of the engine
Let the engine warm up in the mornings (don't build boost while the engine is cold)
There is not much cleaning involved on cleaning a turbo, just do the steps that I mentioned to you before and your turbo should run very well
There are some companies that could do a port and polish job like deadbolt enterprises or Forcedperformance etc, etc but that is more like internally.

lol, you should not be affraid to take things apart as long as you know how to properly maintane and piece together. which is why my evo is going to live to see 100 years!

bump from the dead. So the previous owner had a loose breather hose and introduced foreign objects into the turbo(I found out the day after purchasing the car). I cleaned it with a rag and did the best I could to get the dirt and other misc objects out of the intake turbo. Can I spray water into the turbo? Wouldnt that hurt the turbo and/or cause rust?
