ACT pressure plate question?

I was about to run a 6puck sprung disc (clutchnet) with the stock pressure plate. well, now i think my pressure plate is messed up, so i am looking for an ACT pressure plate. the question is that can i run the 6puck disc with the ACT. i was told that the act PP is made to work with the slighlty thinner act disc, and i am gonna have engagment issues with the stock thickness of the 6 puck.
can anyone shed some light on this?

Go directly to the source and ask ACT. I know they have their own 6puck disk that goes with their standard pressure plate, for what that's worth.

If the stock pressure plate works with the 6 puck, then the act will as well, just will hold better, all of which will depend on how thick the 6 puck disc measures. Here is a link and in it contains info on thickness of disc vrs ACT HD pressure plate, hope this helps. The thickness of said 6 puck will be needed to make the final answer of just how well it will work, with or without adjustment,ect.........

see page #7 for your answer as soon as you know thickness of Disc that you are about to purchase.

We design our pressure plate to work with the standard thickness disc which is about 8mm (compressed). The Clutchnet disc should fit fine. You will be trading off driveability by using the puck disc though so expect some chatter.

The springs will not improve chatter. It actually makes chatter worse, but it will make the disc splines last longer and reduce gear noise.
