Hi,

I had a CD version for my Talon intially, but then bought the two volume set from Chrysler in paper. I just enjoy sitting with a good book! Is a paper version available?

I have a few copies of the VII shop manual(s). I got them from the UK. They are three book sets and cost about $200. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing one.

Hi,

Thank you for the offer. There are enough differences between the VII and VIII that I will wait awhile and hope to get a EVO VIII version. If I cannot find one then I will certainly take you up on the manuals.

Thanks....

I happen to be a service manager at a Mits dealer. You should keep those repair manuals to your self. They are not to be sold as they are copyrighted materials. The last thing we need is every evo 8 owner taking apart their cars and creating more problems for our shops.

Hi, and thanks for popping in!

You’re kidding right? I have had a shop manual for every car I have every owned, either from the manufacture or Edmunds. How am I supposed to "go forth and modify"?

You do not have any right to sell these, especially for profit. If you want to do so, do it somewhere else, as it is illegal.
I am sure that I can speak that the staff of evolutionm.net does not condone nor encourage this activity.

If people want to get a manual, go down to your dealership and buy yourself the (usually 2 volume) manual set for about $70.

I'll agree with you there I guess everyone took me the wrong way on my post (didn't you gusy see the face i put in there )
Although some people shouldn't attempt to repair things themselves, Lord knows I've seen some good attemps.

No matter how much it costs, get it. It will be the most learning curve that you will have since you learned to feed yourself. Couple of my buddies purchased the service manuals for the WRX, and they know the car inside and out.

Should be a must for a EVO owner. In fact they should have included that with the purchase.

Hey!

Glad to have a service manager joining in! There will be lots of question concerning parts and service and yipes warranty. It will be good to hear your thoughts. We all have a lot to learn about the EVO.

The big benefit of a shop manual is that you can look real smart answering detailed questions about your car!

Like .......what is the torque requirement on a glove box screw.

Welcome!
