Well, i was getting REALLY tired of my boost leak so i decided to see where it was coming from. turns out the lower IC pipe next to the IC, and my BOV. BOV was leaking at only .3 bar, so i decided to try the quick fix. dril holes in the top of it and compress the spring a bit. HOLY COW, i held, yes held 1.6 bar and hit fuel cutoff, which i haven't done. I mean, I used to spike 1.5 and rest 1.3 to 1.4, now im holding 1.6, unreal. Also, the BOV is LOUD, still recirc. instead of the psssssht, now its bouncy, and whistly (is that a word?) like if you were to whistle and put your hand in front of your mouth to block airflow but bouncing really fast. I think its kind of cool. I let it idle for a while and it held 800 rpm so i know its not too tight. Who needs and MR BOV, save yourself a hundred bucks and try this first!

I'm not so sure this is a good thing. Those noises you described do not sound good at all.

maybe its fluttering, but i believe its in right because if i recall, if its in backwards it will leak like hell. Ill let it go for a day and see what happens...

i did this to my stock bov too, it works pretty well mine still flutters but i dont have it completely adjusted, i havent upped my boost yet either but it is feasible that it works, if you consider what doing the spring mod does.

This was described in the DIY forums.

it does work.

But you might want to check how you installed the bov. I installed the stock bov backwards once and it was pretty loud and it fluttered.

Excuse me, sir... But I'm going to need you to follow this light without moving your head.

That's pretty ghetto, get a real one. You already have a buncha good ****, don't stick with the plastic POS. It's meant to be changed.
