Greddy Type RS question (i searched!)
I always search before I post so please no flames.
I'm going crazy.. I've been having my car run ****ty for weeks now and I'm ready to have my car back.
I bought Greddy Type RS BOV w/ Evo8 Kit and Greddy Upper IC pipe (I threw out my stock one)... it was only rubber anyway.
How come the Greddy Type RS kit doesn't come with a hose to recirculate the BOV, I think I have it but I have to dig through my garage.
I searched the forum and most people's questions are regarding the Greddy Type S not RS... I know the RS is different and people are saying they don't get the whistle sound from the RS.. ohhh well aslong it holds boost and stops my car from stalling/stumbling/ just plain running like crap.
Here's my main question:
Do people that OWN the type RS require the single spring mod.... a couple people said that the new kit is improved so it doesn't require any modification but they didn't sound sure. If you don't have it do you think just adjusting the screw will do it.. I'm sure I'm going to have fun with that....
Please help on this question, I'm tired of trial and error, I just want something to go smoothly this time.
Thanks!

Ohhh BTW... I've read so many people having problems tuning there type S and so many people have no problems.. it's almost 50/50 even with them recirculating.
All I'm looking for is a BOV that does it's job, is capable of running 26psi, and doesn't harm the idle or stalling issues.

i got the rs and put it in as it came shipped did not change springs or adjust it at all, works great oh and im vta. i know its rice and all but fockit i like blowin off lol. i had no issues at all idle stalling stumbling nothing , holds boost just fine out of the box , one thing i did do was i adjusted it tighter and got compressor surge when i build boost but only part throttle . recomend just put it in and leave it alone, they do make a recurculating kit
I "believe" that the people with problems are certain 03's ... Every BOV I've tested on my 04 was a-ok ... Right now I'm running a Greddy Type-RS with the recirculation kit .. Works fine to me ... No need to do any adjustments to springs .. just tighten or loose the nut accordingly ...
RECIRC fitting cost me like 12.00 or so from myevostore.com, no surging once you recirc!

Thanks for your inputs, the feedback on this BOV sounds good.
My HKS SSQ version 2 was currently V-t-A absolutely no problems as in idling/stalling issues..
Then I had cam shafts installed which caused my car had horrible stalling/idling issues which makes sense because the amount of air flow into the car was incredibly increased from the cams and that added on to my v-t-a BOV is causing my MAF sensor to go crazy.
That's my assumption and I've also asked various tuners about this and they all told me to ditch my v-t-a set up.
Thats why I'm going the recirculating route hoping it will fix my problems, but I loved my SSQ before the cams but one thing I'll never sacrafice is power over sound.
