Simple ? Is this necessary to replace with new clutch?

yes myn started making noises at 5k, its so cheap just do it while the trannys out

No, but do it anyway. If the labor wasn't so intense to change the clutch I might suggest otherwise. It is cheap assurance that you are getting maximum life before a potential failure.
