I now think I am honestly getting extremely close to capping out the bone stock ignition (Including wires). So the question is very simple... what ignition will handle 700+? From what I gather, the coil on plug setup WITHOUT some sort of ignition amp techincally makes the ignition system worse. So, which ignition amp shall I go with and why? Also, what kinda of benifit do I get from the COP setups with the ignition amp... considering there are many many extremely fast cars without the COP I highly doubt it does much of anything for me aside from looking pimp.
So far I am leaning towards the MSD DIS-2 mainly because of thier name. It also has provisions for a few controls (That I would probably never use anyways
) but for the same price as say the HKS... makes sense to get the extra goodies. The only downside is fabricating a bracket or finding a good home for the unit. Anyone have any experience with more than just ONE unit (hint hint tuners). Sell me on one unit as opposed to another.
My other thing that needs to be known is I will almost definately NOT use any type of tuning or controls that the unit would give me... I already have two different boxes cheating my airflow, two cheating my fuel and 1 cheating my timing... I dont need any more damned gizmos to cheat all the various items that are cheating my stock ECU.... I think I have one of the most elaborate stock ECU car around
