Can be a pain in the *** with AC on in traffic but I am used to driving with the windows down. If don't have to stop I can use the AC without a problem.

So thats on a complete stock ecu? Did you just bump your idle via the BISS scew?

they have a nice lope to them when your car is flashed. they are nice cams but the Tomei's have a higher lift (11.5 vs 10.8 on the hks). the 272's make about 46whp when tuned w/cam gears. the 280's take that even further.

Yup stock ecu with a reflash to remove boost/fuel cut and adjustment of timing numbers downlow. I am using maftpro and idle is has been adjust to 1k.

We could not ask for a better idle...

Is it stocklike? No.
Does it vary? No.
Does it throw idle too high P0507 codes? No.
Does it stall? No.

We have run these on flash only, SAFCII & now MAFTPro.

It takes a little time to dial in the idle, but with the help of our reflash we can smooth the idle as good as it will get. Once you step up to maftpro using speed density conversion and no MAF, it gets even smoother.

My 280s idle fine in most situations. The only times my car does not seem to want to idle is:
- with AC and HID headlights on (one or the other works fine, just not both)
- After I accidentally stall the car

I've finally gotten it to a point where it's relatively stable by playing with the BISS adjustment screw and changing BOVs (from a Greddy Type-S to a Greddy Type-RS).

We run the Type-S BOV No problems. Don't do the single spring mod. Bad decision. Not saying you did, just informing.

You have to "set the idle" with the lights and a/c on... This is part of your problem

I have a aem ems sitting in my room at home. I just wanted to know if I could put them in before the ams ems to drive it to the dyno. I ended up geting 272's for now anyways. Wish I had the money to have it tuned but I dont. I refuse to put it in till I have some dyno time and wideband access. Thanks everyone for the help.

I think 280s are more suitable for those who upgrade their turbo to a GT series turbo. I don't see it as porfitable on a stock turbo cars. I believe that the 272s does wonder for a stock turbo cars.

I switched from HKS 272s to 280s on my stock-sized turbo car. Ask me if I'd go back.
