Anyone know if this is right?

I just relocated my boost gauge line(sending unit) to the vacuum line coming off the intake manifold (where the small vac line hooks to the BOV ), is this a good accurate location? The gauge shows a spike of 24-25 psi under WOT, then quickly drops to 21 psi. My MBC should arrive today, after which I will install it. I'm just a little concerned about the 24-25 psi spike (it was custom tuned by Al, then I installed a 3" TB exhaust 4 weeks later).

The turbo back may be contributing to the boost spike.

Are you running 24-25 psi on pump gas? And what other mods do you have?

Thanks for all the responces!
I tapped into the vac line off the intake and now evry thing is consistent. My gauge shows a spike of maybe 22psi and holds about 21 psi, drops slightly to 20 @ 7200 rpms. The problem I was having was due to a shop tapping my boost gauge into the side of my upper IC pipe, very inconsistent boost readings! I installed and adjusted a GFB Stealth BOV and my boost holds nicely now(had a leaky stock BOV that fluttered above 6800 rpms).
I bought a "AMS" MBC, has anyone ever heard of it? It looks pretty cheasy, not sure if I want to install it? Apperently these guys use them in their stage 1 kits. http://automotosports.com/
Someone asked what mods the car has: The car was custom tuned by Al about a month ago w/ a K&N drop in. It would make a fluttering sound above 6800 rpms. I was told it was likely my BOV leaking, so I aquired the GFB Stealth BOV at a good price. I installed the BOV and a 3" TB exhaust w/ a Magnaflow cat delete/resonator and Magnaflow muffler, no other mods. I have also aquired a Walbro 255 fuel pump, but will wait till Al is down for a re-tune.

I have heard of AMS and I would feel confident in anything they put out. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Thanks for the reply. I will more than likely be installing the MBC tomorrow, not sure about the fuel pump just yet. My car is now running phenomenal! The TB exhaust difinately enables the car to produce much more torque quickly. It's very easy to do a 180, almost a 360 whan making a u-turn, able to ride it 10-12 ft or so before she straightens out, what a blast. BOV made a big differance by being able to hold the boost all the way up to 7600(haven't pushed it beyond that yet).
