Hey dude, Finally starting to post, lol. I have HKS Cam gears and have never had a problem.
He is right about the supra thing, It seems to only happen on supra's, But I have never heard of this in Mitsubishi's.

It is very possible they can slip..I had a set on my honda and some how the timing belt ate up some of the metal on the camgear teeth...teeth became sharp and were cutting thru timing belt..
have not had cam gears on evo yet..but like i said i had hks on my honda and had them for about 1yr and theywere eating away at timing belt because some how the timing belt made the teeth get sharp edges...i will get some pics of my old cam gears..

About the eating away at the timing belt, HKS just came out with a new version of the cam gears which are supposed to fix the problem of the wear. The new ones are purple and silver in color not purple an teal like the older ones.
