SES light and oil levels

I have a little problem that I think might be fixed, but still trying to get some insight...

I had a small oil leak about a month ago. I figured it had something to do with my cams, I'm running GSC 272/264s. At the time I did head studs, so I figured I would start and retorque them to 85 ft/lbs. Everything seemed good, and none really needed to be tightened. Soon after, my SES light came on.

I then looked at the valve cover gasket, which had a slight pinch, so I replaced that, and fixed the oil leak. At this point, the SES light went off for a few days. I checked my oil levels and everything seemed cool, the oil level was near the bottom line, but still good. I didn't have any mobil 1 at the time, so I figured it would be good.

So it was good for a few days, but I noticed that when idling, when my rpms would drop a bit, the oil light would flicker but as soon as the rpms went up over about 600, the light would be off, and I got another SES. So about 3 days ago, I pour in about 1/4 of a quart of oil, even though the level read okay, and the SES light came off, and everything seems good...no oil light.

So the question is, without having a chance to pull the code at this point...would oil level or something to the effect of not having enough oil cause this? Other than that, I can't think of why I would the SES light, but its been off for a few days and my fingers are crossed.

Anyway, sorry for the long post....I've just got the mod itch again, but I won't do anything until I'm convinced I'm running smooth. Thanks
