Exclamation What cams to get for the EVO IX

EVO IX + Reflash + 272 int/exh Cams will it work?

well guys i have a "EVO IX MR", the current mods i have on my car are a, K&N drop in, RNR racing turboback exhaust, Greedy profec b bosst controler, HKS SSQV, Apexi turbo timer....so far. i plan soon within this week to get a reflash, buschur racing lower I/C piping, and a pair of 272 HKS camshafts (not to mention a fuel pump lol). my question is from what i hear and know that you can only get the exh camshaft for the MIVEC motor that the EVO 9 has, do you guys think its possible after a reflash to put both int/exh cams in? please guys if you can help and give your thoughts thanks =D

i work for Riverside Mitsubishi also as a salesman, im selling EVO 8, 9, RS, and MR'S $2,000.00 below !!!invoice!!! so if anyone needs a evo or want to trade in current evo come and hit me up and let me know...thanks guys for your help

um, no cams yet, and you will only have to get the exhaust side it sounds like, since your a salesman and all, why dont you be the first to try a VIII cam in the 9

What? You already have heard that we can only replace the exhaust cam, but then you're asking if a flash will make it possible to add the intake cam???

There are no cams developed for the IX yet, because it has a special MIVEC head. It has been speculated that you can just throw in a regular exhaust cam made for an VIII, but no one has tried it yet...or at least no one has tried it and reported the results.

Get the LICP (specific to the IX, not the VIII version) and reflash, but you'll have to wait on the cams issue like everyone else. The fuel pump also may not be necessary. Have you not read the reports on it being stronger than previous years?

So, you are selling IX MRs for around 32k? Why?

yes i guess waiting until they come out with the cams for it would be wise, but i have heard many thing especially from RNR racing when i was down there, they told me it would be possible after a reflash and a good tune. im selling MR'S for around 32k cause i have been given the authority to sell them at a dirt cheap price, some stores get all **** on you about the price, but here at riverside mitsubishi i give specials on EVO'S this is just a special deal on the forums to anybody that wants one...you know if you have any question let me know or pm me

Ok, well you go ahead and try to put some 264s in with your MIVEC head along with a flash and see how it works out. Considering none of the flash tuners have a tune for someone with cams, I'm not sure how that would work.

That's great you can sell MRs for the price that many people pay for IXs w/o SSL...strange, but great for us.

I live in SoCal...i am sure you have heard of

www.socalevo.net

I challenge you to post this up in the vendor section.....that you are giving these vehicles for $2000 below invoice. I find it hard to believe. Please post this where socal people can actual get to you for this deal. Not on a froum where most of the people live across the country and you can say whatever you want.

yeah sure i'll post on socalevo.net, i have no problem i just like evolutionm.net better because there more knowledgeable about the evo then they are, evolutionm.net gets into the vehicle and has more topics and its better all around, not to offend anyone, but your right i should post where they can find me. but trust me i have sold 4 evo ix and 1 MR by just letting the public know that i can.

It was talked about in the Dynoflash thread. I believe Al said it was about a 230 fuel pump in the 9. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...2&page=4&pp=15 I believe some of the info on the pump is on page 4.
