ordered 20g-9 from Buschur

so i was put on a list for the next batch of turbos today. i ordered the install kit and the 20g-9 without the 10.5hotside because i already have one. so basicly i am going to slap it in , run it with some 780cc injectors and a tune and call it a day. here is my engine mod list to date....

Buschur turbo back with high flow cat or test pipe (test pipe when not getting inspected and also gf still has to order it for me.)

Aem intake

Forge diverter valve

Hallman mbc

255 walbro

Megan o2 housing

Megan exhaust mani

10.5 hotside

Custom dynoflash

Spark plugs , I think they are NGK br something or other. one step colder

so i will be running no more than 22psi still on stock clutch and stock head studs. is there anything other than a tune and injectors that is absolutly needed to run the 20g-9?

Post pics of the instal as well as dyno numbers when you do it. I'm curious about this turbo and have heard MANY good things. Of course, i choose to only use used parts on my Evo so it'll be a while before i see a turbo upgrade that will still allow me to be a force in the AutoX seen.

I am eager to find out the spool up rpm on your 20g-9 turbo. For me the spool up is paramount, it is not worth to me to buy a big turbo if the turbo is too laggy, I already went that route and I hated it.

How much was everything(turbo)?
Please update us on that, thanks!

So this is basically a TME 6.5 with the EVO9 compressor? It has the titanium shaft and turbine?

the turbo and instal kit without the 10.5 hotside was $1325. good price if u ask me. i really trust david and the rest of the buschur team so this was basicly first choice when it came to a turbo upgrade. i also had in mind the atp gt3071r kit but there is not much more power to be had with that kit compared to the 20g.

i have a 2003 with 15000 miles on it. the car is mint. i never, beat on it. like when i get on it usually its to make sure everything is working right. i am saving my clutch for this turbo so i really dont think a clutch is necessary . if everything goes right i should get it in about 9-10 weeks. after that it wont be installed until i get injectors. mind u i still have to install a set of tunabe coilovers so i have a lot to do this spring.

um as far as i am aware of no. its a evo 9 turbo rebuilt to a 20g with the Al wheel. david believs that the Ti wheel might create surging problems.

Man thats awesome, no need of dreaming about a IX with that setup.

Keep us updated once you install on how bad your car will be.
Good luck

We wont know if the Ti will create surging with the 20g9 until someone tries
