Unhappy More bad news

Went to the dealer to pick up the car, and they were about to call me when i pulled up. For those of you that read my 1st thread, you know that the freeze plug came out again for the 2nd time and the car overheated. Turns out, i had the dealer do a compression/leakdown test and cyl 3 & 4 are low in pressure, 1 & 2 are normal. Im hoping to god the head didnt get warped Theyre going to pull the head off next week and check it to see if it was damaged. I hope its only the head gasket since its still holding pressure in the 1st 2 cylinders. Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated

That could suck. Are they covering it under warranty or are they voiding it because of the mods?

Theyre gona cover it so far, the servce manager has to call for approval next week but he said it shouldnt be a problem and he should get approval over the phone and not have the factory rep come in. Hes aware that this was caused by the freeze plug coming out 2 times already. I wont know till next week. I think if they wanted to void it, it would have been long ago!!

didn't i tell you about your headgasket being toast a while ago? It would have to be blown pretty bad for it to effect your compression. my guess is it took out a couple pistons.

Man dont tell me that bout the pistons . I dont know how bad the head gasket is, they havent pulled the head yet. Ill find out for sure monday when they take it apart. the car still has normal pressure accross cyl 1 and 2

all it takes is one time for your motor to get hot & that head gasket will say bye bye either way it is covered under warranty so if there is any question about anything else tell them to do that also..

glad to hear that they're honoring the warranty. Maybe this'll change my mind about mitsu dealership work.

Well good luck, it may only be the headgasket, but from experience on my MR2T when the HG blew I usually had a bunch of other probs too Ive had damaged pistons, valves etc...Anyways if its under warranty cool, dont let them pass the blame to you.

What ever happen when you posted to thread to sell your car because you didnt want to spend anymore money on your car. Then all theses photoshops about what your car may or maynot look like. If your haveing all theses problems i think you should get rid of the car and get another evo or get something else.

I changed my mind and decided to keep it, but if this **** happends a third time, im gona get rid of this car and not get an Evo at all. I will get something else

Can a damaged head gasket be the reason why cyl 3 & 4 are leaking pressure? 1 and 2 are to specs still...
