Clutch Prolem?

Hey I get a whinning sound "Weeeeeiiiiiiiin, weeeeeiiiiiiiin weeiiiin" sound everytime I shift (in motion). Does it have to do with my Drivetrain or my clutch? My clutch isnt slipping either. My bro stood outside and said it was as loud as my Exhaust. Do I need to change fluids? Thanks. Please let me know any Info Pertinent to this Problem and not any off topic crap....

Are you sure it's not just your brother in the car going WEEEEEE! WEEEEE! and having fun going for a ride with you? Hit the search button for "tornado siren" I had a Thread on drivetrain noises!

It only happens after I shift and am in Motion. No I told my bro to stand outside while I drive by and see if he can hear it.

Thats still not evough info EvoRicer. is it in boost, and certain rpm's? did you click the search button and type "tornado siren"? you answer is there.

Need to know mods, miles, driving habits etc.... The more info you list/give, the easier the diagnosis. search first, I don't have enough coffee in me yet.

Need more information as smokedmustang as said.

You say it only makes the noise when in motion? How about if you sit in your driveway and rev the engine up to 4500 rpm or so, and then depress the clutch? If the car isn't moving, probably the throwout bearing or clutch related.

Does the noise start when you depress the clutch or when you are actually moving the shift lever? This will help differentiate between a throw out bearing/clutch issue and and a transmission issue. How about if you just depress the clutch like you're going to shift, but you don't actually shift?

And there is no abnormal noise/whine when the car is in gear cruising down the road normally? It's just when shifting? That should rule out a t-case.

Need more info. to help.

Sorry man i woke up not too long ago and have my car torn apart (trying to fix that stupid hesitation thing also). Ok if I sit at Idle I do not get a whine. The whine only happens after I shift and I start depressing the clutch. It goes away in like 2 to 4 seconds after that. If I just cruise and let it off in Neutral I wont hear anything. So Basically I just hear it after my gear is put in and when the clutch is depressed or starting to depress. It happens when Im off boost, I cant say if I hear in in boost or not because I dont really pay attention to it on boost (Exhaust and BOV).

My driving Habits. Sometimes I drive Hard sometimes I drive normal. I usually drive Normal exept when I get onto the freeway...which is everyday almost hahaha. The dealership did my clutch like at 20k miles. They replaced everything. I have about 32k on the new clutch now. Thanks for the help guys.

I've had the same noise since 6 months after I bought the car and I bought the car back in may of 03. I've taken it in and everyone says the car is fine and I haven't had any problems.

Ahh crap...i just my car back together, and revved the engine at idle...its the Freakin TC. It didnt do that yesterday! How long until it goes? My Evo is my daily driver...what would I need to replace? The whole TC? Is there an aftermarket TC which is better than OEM? Lancershop sells an OEM one for 2.4k...
