Best downpipe for the IX?

I took my turboback off my 03 VIII before I traded it in so I figure I can use my testpipe and catback but not my dp. What do you people think? I would like it ot be a true 3". 05's and 06's can use the same dp correct? Thanks.

I installed a Tanabe 70mm DP on my IX, fitment is perfect, clears everything. For the most part all DP's will transfer over BUT you might need to install bushings on the under braces to clear the DP on the 3" DP's.

3" wont really net you much more power vs a 70mm.

I have an A'Pexi GT Spec DP on my IX. Perfect fitment, also came with heat wrap which is a nice bonus. I love it, it work perfectly w/ the A'Pexi GT Spec exhaust. It's almost factory quiet with a nice rumble when driving normal. When I step on it, it gets quite loud, real aggressive sounding.

RRE's Espelir 2.75" downpipe fits fine on my IX. You can purchase it here:

i was told that Buschurs will fit by them. So I guess that means it will clear the underbrace as well.

I'm trying to get a DP and TP that will fit on the IX and bolt up to the stock cat back. Any one have this configuration? Any one know of a TP that will bolt up to the stock exhaust?
