What am I forgetting?

What am I forgetting?

I have a red 04 RS. It's a pretty ridiculous car as it is but, of course, I can't leave it at that. It currently has:

BR deluxe FMIC
BR upper & lower IC pipes
1g BOV - uncrushed & recirculating
BR MAF pipe (early model)
BR cone filter
HKS cams - 272/272
ARP head studs
HKS DLI 2 ignition
Magnecor wires
BR front motor mount (en route)
Walbro pump
BR mini battery
SMC alcohol injection- running 100% methanol
BR MBC @ 25psi
BR 3" SS turbo back w/ test pipe & race muffler
Dynoflash mail-in (the kind that ain't done no more!)

Al of Dynoflash will be in Charleston next month and so as not to waste the opportunity I ordered a BR 20g-9 , a ported & jetcoated exhaust mani, a ported and jet coated 10.5 hot side and a jetcoated E-Bay O2 housing. I threw some 780 injectors in so as not to grenade the engine right off the bat.

My question is: What am I not considering? To date the car drives like a dream. It is just an ungodly beast that destroys all in it's path but theoretically can be driven normally.

Do I need to change plugs?
Should I upgrade IC clamps?
Is my little 1g BOV gonna crap out on me?
Do I need to get a larger alky jet?

You know. That kinda stuff.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you will have it covered once you install the Turbo upgrade and assundry items. The 1st gen BOV has a history of being pretty sturdy so I wouldn't be to worried about it.

What plugs are you running and what size jet for the alky, seems like you have it all covered though right now

Bring an extra set of plugs, BR8ES, just in case, do a boost leak test, make sure you have no exhaust leaks, bring some tools, and check tire psi

Plugs are still original. Going to find out jet size for alky. Plan on j-bolting the ic plumbing.
Tires are brand spanking new ADVAN Neova 245/40-17's. Also figured I'd hold off installing the injectors till I get to where Al is doing the tuning. Just have to keep off the boost. I hope I don't see any Mustangs or anything on the way.

I'm still on the stock clutch after 19,000 miles. I'm as surprised as the next guy that it's lasted that long. When it goes I'll do the Exedy twin.

It's fast already. The few times I've taken it to the local 1/8th mile track I ran a best 0f 7.9 at 92mph w a crappy 60 ft. time. That was w a full tank of gas, spare tire, tools and a high flow cat in place. Definitely looking forward to it's new beastliness come 2/18. Gonna have to go to a real 1/4 mile track to see what it will do!

Buschur Racing said to use BPR7ES,( thats what they use on all their beasties) and to start the gapping at .030 and move lower if there are problems.
