Was wondering the same thing about the mix setup of GSC/HKS. I may jump up to HKS 280/GSC 272 when doing a new headgasket.

I know the 264's would give the most low range, and that 272's are high-end hp. How exactly would you classify the 280's?

I ran my best on the 280/272 set-up, started with 264/272, then 272/272, then 280/280 now 280/272 wich yeilded the most MPH.

yeah, i had the 264/272 combo on the stock turbo....now that that is a paper weight, i think i need to do something else. i was thinkin 280/272 as the intake came is a sinch to swap and i would only need to buy one....but wasn't sure how it'd pan out.

thanks CRBE

Is the idle with the 280-272 combo noticably better than the idle of a straight 280i,280e set?

Does the -3i, -2e cam gear setting maximize the higher end of the power band? Or, would it be optimal for extracting usable street power with a stock turbo? I kinda wanted to run the 280, 272 combo, straight up, i.e. without adjustable gears, for financial reasons. Thanx

I know not many people run this combo, but any input would be nice. This is a "hoping for a response" bump!

I was running the GSC 272/264 combo with upgraded turbo and was having terrible idle problems because from what someone told me that I had alot of air coming in and not enough going out because of my cam section. Now, I have the GSC 272/HKS 280 setup and it improved my idle powerband.

Was this with the stock turbo or the 35R?
