I'd be curious to know what the power would have done if you had held it out to 7500 rpm. It hadn't even begun to taper when the dyno ended.

VERY good dyno numbers. Car's like yours make us look really good. The 280 whp is the most an EVO9 has put down on our dyno. Others are close but that is the best.

My guess is an offroad pipe will put the car in the upper 290 whp range.

Thanks for coming down and buying our parts.

The best things come to those who wait!

Thanks again for everything Dave.

For those who do not know - Member "Most Wanted" ran a 12.09 track time in the 1/4 mile on pump gas at 20 psi with his IX with BR stage II and a base Buschur Flash

These IX's are 11 second capable cars at this power level

Simply amazing machines

You can definately hear it. I actually enjoy the sound myself. Blow off valve is heard, but not anoying like many VTA cars. Kind of a good middle of the road sound overall. Compliments the exhaust wonderfully.

I will try to take some videos this weekend. I have been asked a bunch about the intake 'sound'.

If you want the car to stay really quiet with no intake noise then go with the drop in K&N. Problem with that is it limits you on intercooler plumbing and the small battery.

This post and the sig of the post from Trevor underneath yours... The 8's are also able to hit the same times I dont read the stages but I think Trevors car has what most consider a stage 1 w/ a clutch.. catback, mild tune and intake = 12.07 (On the Evo 8).

Sorry, just like to throw some props at Trevor

Continue to regular programming now.

That's on race gas, Trina, like me, and at higher boost with the Buschur race chip. The IX referenced here matched us in the 12.0s on pump gas at 20psi. That is a huge difference and sickens me. It's great for IX owners, and will especially be great when the IX-specific stg 1 package is released.

they are actually within a 5HP difference. no need for hating. just merely making an observation. that same EVO9 ran a 12.82 @ 107 last friday down there @ Firebird.
