Intercooler piping question

I did a few searches and could find what I was looking for, but my question is simple enought ... is the intercooler piping the same on 8 as the 9? Reason I as is I was told the intercooler is smaller on the IX and im looking to swap out my piping.

Thanks for any help!

I would have to measure my intercoolers tonite but from seen them in person they kind of look identical to me.
As far is the piping itself, some people are reluctant to believe the gains but from own experience it greatly improved my spool up,boost and times at the track.
I am able to boost 25psi plus by 3000rpm and peak 29-30psi by 3200-3300rpm.

I don't want to incline myself to any vendor more than other because I want to make a fair suggestion but I suggest you get the piping from vendors that make them with less bends and shorter path for faster and better flow.

My .2c

PM pjsevo8, he also has a Evo 8 and a Evo 9 and he was working on removing the intercooler of his Evo9 tonite.

Definately pm him today, he will have a definate answer. I hope you get the answer that way.

I think the only difference is the LICP as far as intercooler/IC pipes go
