What happened???

Well, before i start, Yes... I have searched for a very long time and couldnt really find anything similar to this.

Now, i was driving home from getting some installations done and when i was on the highway i got off to get gas, when i downshifted to take a turn my clutch got stuck to where i would actually have to put my foot under the clutch petal and pop it back out so i could use it again. I thoght, wow, have to get home and check it out. Well i got back on the highway and on the on-ramp i was shifting through the gears and when i got to four gear i shifted and my clutch went to the floor and i couldnt go into fifth. I pull over on the side of the road and i look and my clutch is waaay past my gas and brake petal (Further back towards the wall). I cant use it because it wont engage. i can actually use my hand and push it back and forth with no effort at all. Now, i know it's not my actual clutch because it's brand new, ACT heavy duty. No mod's that the installations were done by shop had anything to do with the transmission. The only thing i can think of, is maybe a line came loose, or came off, or broke, and my clutch isnt getting any fluid...?What do you guys think???

Is there any fluid in the clutch resevoir?

Is there any leaking all over the tranny where the slave cylinder pushes on the clutch pivot?

I havent really gotten to check it out yet, because i'm at work right now, and i got home late last night. I just wanted to see what some possibilities were so i can go straight and check where everyone says to.

Do you think my clutch cylinder could be dying? (master or slave?)

I guess you didnt search that hard...i searched "clutch sticking"...

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...lutch+sticking

just a few...i didnt really weed through, or read responses, but the questions sounded similar to yours.

My question is...is there any resistance when you move the clutch pedal in and out with your hand, or is it floppy?? If theres no resistance, id say check out your 'clutch line" (im not exactly sure what its called, but its the line that runs through the firewall, connected to the pedal that actually engages everything when you depress the pedal)

EDIT: For my poor 2:30am spelling and grammar

I don't know why your hydrolic lines would have been disconnected during the install of the particular upgardes that you mentioned but I would say that you have air in your lines.

Bleed the clutch lines then try again. Hopefully this will solve your problems.

For it to happen all of a sudden on a new clutch, I am afraid that the release bearing may not have been "clicked" all the way onto the pressure plate and bearing came off. Often the center pieces to the pressure plate get damaged at the same time.
