radiator problem
radiator problem
preveiwsly i posted a radiator problem "pissed off last nite". but anyways the dealership told me that there was a split on my radiator and needs to be replaced. i just checked my radiator just now and i don't see the crack or anything. so i went to autozone and bought a sealant for a temporary fix, so the mechanic told me what's the problem, so i told him about it. then he asked me if i saw a crack or anything, and i told him no but i lose coolant every week. he then told me that it might just be a pin hole and told me to just put a tea spoon of grounded pepper and that would find the hole and clog it. so i asked him if it would damage anything espeacially my turbo, he said no, and said that he has been workin on N/A, Turbo, and supercharged cars, import or domestic, and everytime he see this problem, this is what he does for temporary fix. and he's been a mechanic his entire life. what do you guys think? should i trust him, and do that for temp. fix?
How do you loose coolant? Is the overflow tank gets full?
I was loosing coolant also for the reason it was pushed out when in boost.
Anyways I would not add any pepper or salt
, just add watter/collant till you find the permanent solution.
