05 MR Stock only @ 10psi

Morning Guys,

I just got an 05 MR from the dealer, and through every gear, i peak @ .7 bar, never any higher. Any suggestions on what I should be checking for, or should I just take it in to the dealer to be fixed... Its still under warrenty.

TIA,

Since it's under warnety might as well make the dealer fix it.
If you want to check yourself, I had an issue where I was only boosting 10-11 psi and it turned out to be the BOV was leaking.

There should be a resticter pill in one of the hoses for the boost control sol. That could be your problem. Did you buy it used? Was it modded before you got it?

yes is was used... 7K miles, and it does look like it was modded. When I went to put on a timer, I noticed all of the wires were still there, just cut... I'm sorry, not to be dumb, but where am I looking?

Before you go, check the boost hoses going to the wga and the turbo, if the boost actuator is missing and all it is straight hoses, then the boost is defaulting to 10psi. My friend had bought a used Evo and had the same problem, seems the last owner had a mbc and never put the stock hoses back in and it was only boosting 10psi, i bet you thats the problem....

Okay, finally got back from dealer. They replaced all of the hoses, and thats what it was. Whoever had this car before had a MBC, and replaced them with regular hoses. I'm @ 1.0 bar now.

Thanks for all of your help!

This has happened to me twice in my STi, just randomly goes to 10 psi. Reset the ECU by disconnecting the negative battery terminal and let it set for 2-4 minutes, then reconnect it. Go out and brake boost (hit the brakes and gas at the same time building boost) then see if that fixes it, worked for me both times so thought I'd share.
