20g-9-5 guys...need some help with boost

ok i installed my turbo today and everything went good. I heard that on the 9 actuator that it will boost 20psi and with a mbc hooked up turned all the way down it will boost minimum of 24-25psi. I want to run my mbc so i can use it like this and cap it off when im not using race gas. My problem is im running off just the wastegate right now but im only boosting 1.1bar which is like 15psi. can anyone help??? I checked for leaks and everything, i think it has something to do with the way my vaccuum lines are ran.

running a boost control will not raise your minimum boost if its turned all the way down. its the wastegate that control minimum boost.

so hook up the MBC and turn it up to what you want the boost at.

i dont see a problem...

That is only true if you bought it with the high boost actuator. If you did not then you get a stock evo 9 actuator that runs the same boost as the Evo 8 actuator.

how come? hook up the boost controler and get it up to 18-20 what ever you want it to be. why are you going to be taking things apart? did something bad happen?
