Talking removed boost controller= 10 psi boost?

i removed my hallman boost controller and i am only getting 10 psi of boost..

here's what i did
i reconnected the factory boost solenoid hose (under intake) with the restrictor pill in it, that hose runs down to the bottom of the radiator fan where it has a tee in it. at the tee i ran the long hose with a red mark on it (no restrictor pill inside)to the nipple on the turbo, the other smaller hose coming of the tee was ran to the wastegate actuator nipple and this small hose has a restrictor pill in it..
don't know what is wrong,,, can anyone comment...

it is my understanding that when going back to stock ALL restrictor pills need to be in the hoses. They apparently are a big thing and required for the stock system to work properly. With it gone, you are probably just running off the wastegate pressure.

does anybody know how many restrictor pills there should be.. i have 2 pills currently, 1 on the factory boost solenoid hose, and 1 on the small hose coming off of the tee where it is plugged into the wastegate actuator.

Hi guys, I know this is getting boring but!! I have a new Jap import E9 2006 had 30km so unmodified in Japan. (Car is now in NZ)
Mine most defiantly has to restrictor pills next to what appear to be two boost control solenoids (stacked one on top of the other)!!! There are two BCS and a hose from each that tee them together see pic hoses with the clamps. There is also a vent tube from each solenoid and a tee joining them before they feed back to the intake pipe. In the pics attached I have put white tape where the restrictors were. Question, did I do the right thing removing both these restrictors, as they are both in the same loop of hose. Car feels good without them, but mine has no boost gauge yet!! So I can’t see boost level.

Cheers
Darren

Chromedome, you did it backwards. The red-tipped hose goes to the wastegate. The other one with the pill goes to the compressor nipple. That's the only problem.

This was an easy fix that you could have found with some basic troubleshooting. I recommend trying to change things around in the future if you ever encounter something like this.

hey Warrtalon, do you have any idea what the doubling up is about on mine, with what appears to be two bcs.
