I was just wanting to clarify the noise you guys are talking about. I have a slight wine when I downshift and let the clutch out but really only in second gear. It is quiet when driving, accelerating etc. Hopefully I don't have the same problem?

nope you're perfectly fine, it's just the noise the evo's drivetrain makes because the tranny gears are pretty straight cut. They call it the death whine/howl. Trust me when you hear a tcase going out you know it for sure. It's LOUD even at cruising speeds.

I think if we get enough interest we could get Richmond Gear to build ring and pinions for our cars. I know someone who works there. I'll give him a call.

Yeah, I would love to get a cheap replacement like all the V-8 guys have. It would be awesome if Richmond came out with something. I think it will be a few years before we get a decent priced replacement for what we want.
