need advice for my turbo

This is a evo IX MR. I was installing a helix o2 housing today and I ran into a few problems. But to make a long story short, I messed up the hotside of my turbo. I'm pretty sure I need to change that. Should I change just the hotside to an upgraded 10.5 hotside or is there a slightly bigger turbo?

If I change to a 10.5 hotside, is tuning really required? I searched but i had trouble finding what I was looking for.

06's come with 10.5 hotsides,

The Hotside has nothing to do with any of the bolton aftermarket turbo. they will all use the 10.5.

When I was unbolting the stock o2 housing, 2 bolts broke inside the hotside. ( I used wd40, pb blaster too) I tried to drill it out and use reverse bits but it didn't work and the bits broke anyway. My dad said he'll torch it and at the time i was kinda fustrated so i didn't care if he did. Well, the torch couldn't even put a hole or cut out the broken bolt, and the hotside melted a little and warped.

Any idea's??

Are there any shops that service turbos in your area, so you can get an estimate on the repair? A new turbine housing will cost you $250, whereas a new IX turbo costs about $900 doesn´t it?

For a few hundred more you could do an upgraded turbo that still mounts to your stock exhaust manifold. There are several out there that use the IX compressor housing and the 10.5 hotside, with a variety of rotating assembly combos.

How extensive is the damage to your hotside? How warped is it?

just buy the new hotside and be done with it. Your only upgrade option on the stock mani is the 20g-9 or a TME but I would not go that route on a brand new IX. Just buy the new hotside and have it coated.
